Oscars Part III-Saturday before

Saturday we booked a tour of the Movie Stars Homes through Starline Tours. It seemed to be a reputable operation, which was noteworthy as there were companies harassing you on the streets all day to sign up with their bus tours. It was open top so you had great views, and very comfortable and informative. Our guide was actually raised right there in Hollywood so he had a lot of information to offer. We were so glad to be able to see a lot of areas we would not have been able to see otherwise, even with a car, as we would not have known where we were going! Outside of the stars' homes in Beverly Hills, we also drove down Rodeo Drive, and up into the Hollywood Hills/Laurel Canyon area, where we were able to get out and get a good picture of the Hollywood sign.
Learned history of "Sunset Strip"

I knew I would forget whose house was whose so I only took a couple. Someone famous! (Heather? Remember??)
This one is Jay Leno's because the guide was excited to see one of his cars was there outside

Looks sort of run down to me, but they have the Oscars luncheon here

A piece of the twisted World Trade Center here at the fire station

 Day before red carpet prep
Now they had this shut off where you couldn't walk on it day before Oscars
Behind these curtains are all shops like a mall but they put red drapes over so you can't tell that!
Behind these statues is the entrance to the theatre
These ladies were HAND opening every single rose for the entrance area. So beautiful

After our bus tour we just hung out here near our hotel and people watched at California Pizza Kitchen

 Mojitos mmm mmm!
Our rooftop garden area of our hotel. The tan building is the Dolby Theatre
Our hotel
 At Boa Steakhouse
A cool trendy bar, the Mondrian
